Perdurabo's Electrifying New Single "Cast Stones" Dives Into the Profound Complexities of Inner-city Living Conditions, Creating a Soundscape that is as Thought-Provoking as it is Haunting.
After being described as captivating, stunning, and complex by various publications including Obscure Sound, Wonderland, Plastic Mag, La Repubblica, Fame Magazine, and Lost in the Manor, electronic artist Perdurabo returns with his third single, "Cast Stones". This track is taken from his upcoming debut album "Magnetar" and features vocals from Miro Shot's frontman, Roman Rappak.
Drawing from the harsh realities of inner-city life, from the 2017 Grenfell Tower tragedy to the recent passing of two-year-old Awaab Ishak due to mold in his house, "Cast Stones" is a poignant commentary that challenges us to confront these dire situations.
For this production, Davide worked alongside the legendary UK producer Gareth Jones (known for his work with Depeche Mode, Interpol, and Apparat) and mastering engineer Matt Colton (who has worked with Thom Yorke, Clark, and James Blake). The single also features guest Jörg Wähner (from Apparat) on drums and was recorded in London, following the previous successful collaboration on the "Komponent" EP. It clearly confirms "Magnetar" as a complex and multifaceted record about resilience, explored in its various forms. It finds a perfect sonic balance at the intersection of electronic, rock, and classical music, three main influences that are the cornerstones of Perdurabo's musical journey.
